False Providence Novel

Now that I’ve shown you Icarus, I will delve deep into the polarised dystopia that it is, I used a mix of both ancient and recent history. Believe it or not most of the familiar elements you will read from the book began as guessitimates with a shade of clairvoyance and a bit of history buffing!

There is no vanity in this book, there were times I was terrified to write it as rough ideas in my head suddenly became a policy. The worst ideas writers could have about a situation suddenly became a news clip, my manuscript was quickly turning into a crystal ball!! Thankfully the tide turned and dystopian fiction could remain dystopian fiction once more…

I’m a little wary of dynamics, of coming off as patronising but I saw what was happening with my own eyes. This book is no historic record but rather a watermark of what COULD have happened, most fiction is based on a silver of truth. Without which I wouldn’t have been able to write this but that’s not my fear, my fear is being patronising…

2049, The great Eagle has fallen, Icarus rises from the ruin of a lost Union, fifty states are now Provinces of Six. Two are the worst of enemies. The War Drum is ready to beat again and the Underground Railroad Reborn is ever ready to lead the lost and ignored onward, To the freedom of New Rome away from the Rogue State of Antioch.

They fought and lost before but they cannot lose again and all that stands between a Despot an absolute power is a General his freedom-fighting daughter and a lovesick Priest.
